I have used the Olivéne Balm regularly on my newborn for a number of purposes. First, it was cradle cap. The balm clung nicely to the scalp, softening the cradle cap, enabling it to be gently scraped away in its early stages and preventing further build up for weeks at a time. The second use came with dry and flaking ears. I moistened the tip of a cotton bud with the balm and gently spread it all through the outer ears. The balm softened the flaky skin, causing the excess skin to clump together and ball up so that it could be removed, and leaving the skin soft, supple, and free of any further dryness for weeks. The balm has now found its third use, in my profusely dribbling 3 month old. A blister was starting to form under the bottom lip as a result of the constant dribbling, but due to the proximity of the mouth I didn't want to put anything toxic on the skin. The balm sticks to the skin beautifully and provides a barrier for hours, keeping the skin protected and supple.
