Your Complete Guide To Holiday Beauty Essentials

Holiday Beauty Essentials

Whether you're camping, glamping, travelling overseas, having a staycation or staying at a relative's 1950's beach shack, holiday beauty essentials need to be part of your holiday.

Our Holiday Beauty Essentials

Here are our favourites which we always pack to ensure we are indulging in some luxury while enjoying our holiday.

Small Natural Deodorant

A basic one but oh so important! I've tried quite a few brands, but at the moment I am hooked on No Pong. Not only for their cute travel -friendly tins but because their deodorant smells so fresh and is silky smooth. It won't STOP you sweating, but I do believe it reduces the amount of sweat and there is, well, no pong. And it lasts all day!

Cleanser

Choose one that you can use both morning and night. I've brought along with me the Purify Facial Cleanser because it's so light and fresh. It's not a makeup remover but to remove makeup. I mix a dollop of my exfoliator in with our Exfoliating 2-in-1 Scrub & Mask. It does the job nicely, and my skin feels extra clean. We recommend not using this combination on your eyes.

Mask Or Exfoliant

For a little in-room pampering there's nothing better than chilling out with a book or a favourite show with a treatment product on your face. Maybe you've saved that hydrating sheet mask in your bathroom drawer for an occasion like this. Whatever you love indulging in, pack it for your trip! I've brought along both the Exfoliating 2-in-1 Scrub & Mask and the Radiant Rose Mask, which is also a sleeping mask and this is how I usually use it.

Hair & Body Hydrating Product

Ok, so if you're anything like me - you pay a decent amount of attention to your face, but your body always seems to play second fiddle. All of a sudden - your holiday has arrived, and that bod is on display which means waxing, shaving, plucking, fake (safe) tanning and hydrating! Phew - seems a lot just writing it! All that beaching and pooling is going to require:
  • A product to tame that hair, without turning it into crunchy locks.
  • Something to hydrate that body, add a healthy glow - without the icky-sticky.
  • Something that smells beautiful, preferably reminiscent of a tropical holiday.
A multipurpose product that does all of that is ideal, to make more room for shopping. GET. YOUR. HANDS. ON Coconut Glow Hair & Body Oil. You can thank me later.

Small Bottle Of Natural Shampoo & Conditioner

The ones at the hotels are full of SLS! Argh! Decant your fave brand or buy smaller travel sizes. If you have a mop of hair like me, bring the full bottles. I use a travel sized bottle in one wash.

Toothbrush & Toothpaste

Most hotels have this too but once again, SLS-laden toothpaste. I love the Dr.Bronner's All-One toothpaste right now. I usually buy liquorice or peppermint - yum!

Everyday Tinted Moisturiser & Sunscreen

An excellent solution for remembering to apply your sunscreen every morning while evening out your skin tone. No need for makeup! It's a holiday must-have!! I'm using the Andalou Colour + Correct right now with SPF 30. I pop it on over a couple of drops of Olive Skin Serum, and off I go!

Day & Night Hydrating Serum

Your skin can often suffer from the effects of travelling, such as:
  • Air travel.
  • Hotel air conditioners/heating.
  • Change in climate.
  • Quality of water when showering and also chlorine in the pool.

Natural Mineral Makeup

Foundation, blush, lipstick & mascara. Ok, so I haven't used mascara since I had the kids because I have naturally dark lashes and I find it just that extra annoying step to remove at night! I have with me, permanently in my handbag. Also, some loose mineral foundation that I usually use a light dusting of if I'm going out at night, some peachy mineral blush, a sheer pink gloss and a lippy. All natural and vegan from brands like Hanami and Inika. Have a fab holiday! Let me know what your holiday beauty essentials are below!
