DRY SKIN TIP 7 – Cleanse and hydrate at night to avoid dry skin.
At Botáni, we believe beauty is naturally present in everyone and that if you have healthy skin that’s been well looked after (with our range of products of course!), there’s no real need to wear makeup.
However we’re not on a makeup warpath here at trying to ween you all off your favourite lippies and mascaras, we are, however, on one rampage of sorts. To get you all removing your makeup before you go to bed!
For those who are struggling with dry skin, this could be the difference between a hydrated face that radiates or a dull, old dial that can barely crack a smile.
There are some brilliant, all-natural makeup brands out there and more emerging, however we presume the majority of you are using mainstream makeup products laden with chemicals and nasties we’d need another blog post to go into! That’s not going to help your dry skin right now though, what will help you now is learning you can get rid of dry skin simply by cleansing your face before you go to bed each night.
One of healthy skin’s best friends is sleep. While we sleep, the cells that make up our skin are up all night working like little troopers on a production line, repairing damage from the day gone by so that in the morning, we can awake to skin that’s revitalised and refreshed. But how on earth are your cells going be able to rejuvenate or repair anything when they’re working under such poor conditions? An unbreathable blanket of makeup is hardly a productive workplace!
At the end of a long day, or after a night out partying, sometimes all you want to do is crash. Well if you continue to go to bed without taking your makeup off that’s exactly what will happen, an unsightly crash resulting in an unbreakable cycle of dry skin.
Your skin will truly thank you for it in the morning… as will your makeup free pillowcase!
