SENSITIVE SKIN TIP 1 – A simple skincare regime is key.
You know how the old saying goes, “keep it simple stupid.” Well truer words have never been spoken when it comes to sensitive skin. We’re not implying the skin is stupid. We’re implying that to over complicating your skincare regime is a silly thing to do!
The skin is far from stupid, in fact it’s truly is a remarkable organ. It covers us, protects us and shows us the first signs of imbalance in our bodies. It reflects the true health of your entire being however despite being immensely complex, it requires little to keep it in great shape.
Sensitive skin is called ‘sensitive’ for a reason. This type of skin is highly reactive and needs little provocation to show you how it’s feeling. Anyone with sensitive skin will tell you that you only need to be in the room with someone who’s wearing a synthetic fragrance to break out in a rash or just see a mosquito flying around to break out in welts.
A complicated skincare regime will simply over stimulate the skin and cause it to react – and generally not in a favourable way. If you poke and prod it all day, like anything, it will get fed up and retaliate! The key to caring for sensitive skin? Simply give it a good K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid!)
